International Cake Artist Mrs. Prachi Dhabal Deb inaugurated First-of-Its-Kind Cake Show in Kolkata as Chief Guest and Head Judge at Bake India Bake Rupali Pal Owner of Sweetie Pie Academy of Cake Decor. On April 15th and 16th, 2023, at Utsav Marriage Hall in Rashbehari Avenue, Kolkata played host to a first-of-its-kind Cake Fest and Competition, which brought together home bakers, cake artists, baking professionals, in-store bakeries, pastry chefs, and food lovers under one roof. The event aimed to connect all home bakers with their talents and showcase the best of the baking industry. The event was organized by Mrs. Rupali Pal, Owner of Sweetie Pie Academy of Cake Decor.
The event was graced by the presence of Mrs. Prachi Dhabal Deb, a two-time title holder in the World Book of Records, London, and the “Queen of Royal Icing.” Mrs. Deb attended the event as the Chief Guest and Head Judge. Several other eminent personalities attended the event as guest judges as well.
Mrs. Prachi Dhabal Deb expressed her excitement about attending the event, saying, “It’s an honor to be invited as a head judge for the first-of-its-kind Cake show in Kolkata.”
The two-day program included a cake competition, cake demos, sugar displays, question and answer sessions, quiz competitions, bakers’ food stalls, and much more. There were over a hundred participants in the event, showcasing their baking talents and competing for the top prize.
Mrs. Deb is an internationally award-winning cake artist from Pune, India. She is a two-time World Record Holder from World Book of Records, London, and is recognized as the top artist of Royal-icing in India. Mrs. Deb specializes in creating royal-looking, luxurious bakes that are majestic in their appeal and delicious in taste. She has mastered the art of creating delicate royal icing art with a keen eye for detail, which requires a high level of patience and skills.
